Hillcrest Academy South is an alternative high school that serves general and special education students from Elizabeth Public School District in grades 9 through 12. At Hillcrest Academy, students are able to complete their high school education in a smaller setting. With a 12:1 teacher/student ratio, students are given individual attention that assists them in strengthening their study skills and finding success in a college preparatory curriculum. Credit deficient students are able to participate in credit recovery opportunities with guidance and support from the Hillcrest staff. Students and parents must contact their Elizabeth Academy guidance counselor to complete a referral process in order to be eligible for an interview at Hillcrest Academy. If the student is accepted, they will be required to sign out of their Elizabeth academy through their guidance counselor to begin school.
